Wildfish Theatre strives to reach out and make sure every child has access to the broad learning experiences offered through musical theatre education and community involvement. Each year we are able to offer assistance to students who would not otherwise be able to pay full class tuition. Wildfish also provides programs at nearby schools with limited arts programs.
Since its inception in 2008, many families have come to value the Wildfish experience. In the 2017/2018 school year, over 340 students registered and there is a waitlist for every class. Space limitations also make it difficult to meet the strong demand for dance, vocal, and acting technique classes. Set and costume storage capacity are so extremely limited that props must be kept in the lobby between acts. The current theatre only seats 100, requiring each student performer to limit the number of family members who can attend their shows. Our current facility lease expires 2020 which further underscores our need to find a larger and permanent home. Contributing to this capital campaign will ensure Wildfish Theatre can continue to serve its growing student body as well as expand our outreach to the greater Houston community.
Wildfish Theatre is a non-profit organization and runs on an extremely tight budget while offering professional-quality experiences for its students. You can choose to contribute to the general fund and we will make sure your donation is directed to where it is most needed and is managed with the utmost care.
